Built with kauri, rimu and mataī for the owner of Silverford Station, the homestead sits within the picturesque Dartmoor Valley and is now available for private hire exclusively through Ortons.
The property effortlessly lends itself to weddings and functions – offering multiple options for marquee placement, ceremony sites, and drinks, canapé and dining areas. Set in stunning surrounds, with hundreds of native trees and breathtaking views to the ranges, it feels as though you are immersed in nature. We have been holding the Cure Kids Charity Dinner at The Old Church for four years now and we simply couldn’t imagine hosting this event anywhere else in Hawke’s Bay. The team at Orton’s in conjunction with this stunning venue make for a special evening every time, for myself as the event manager and our guests. The planning and delivery of the event is always seamless and the food is simply outstanding in quality and presentation. I deliver these types of events all over New Zealand and, in my personal opinion, they are one of – if not the best – caterers in New Zealand.
