Orton’s is a family run business formally owned and operated by Sam and Mary Orton. It is now owned by their son James. With family at the heart of the business we believe in building and maintaining strong relationships that have been established over many years.
When we are not catering weddings or private events you will find us at Hawke’s Bays biggest and best events, The Hawke’s Bay Racing Spring Carnival, The Art Deco Festival, Horse of the Year and numerous Gala dinners throughout the year. We love all events, large or small, formal or informal and treat them all with the same Orton’s approach.

HISTORY.
Orton’s has been managing events throughout Hawke’s Bay and the Central North Island since the 1980s. We’ve seen many changes in food trends and function styles over the years and pride ourselves in always remaining current. With our skilled team of chefs headed by Adrian Hart, service and event specialists, we can turn our hand to any type of function. Conferences, corporate functions, private events small and large, and of course, weddings.
We’re renowned for delivering the complete hospitality package. We have exclusive access to some of the region’s most spectacular venues. And we can help create your event from scratch at any location. When you’ve been doing it for as long as we have, you know how to make the seemingly impossible possible, and to do it with flair.
