The Old Church has a stunning aspect to the Ruahines, Kawekas and the setting sun, the unwavering attention to detail and luxurious décor makes this a stunning Hawke’s Bay landmark. The unique experience of an event at the Old Church will be a memory to treasure for years to come.

 

Weddings.

Orton’s have been helping couples say ‘I do’ for over 40 years’. Our attention to detail and unmatched reputation for great food and service means your wedding day will be one that is spoken about for years to come, for all the right reasons. The Old Church is an iconic wedding venue in Hawke’s Bay, the courtyards, gardens and outdoor bar lend themselves perfectly for late afternoon ceremonies followed by drinks and canapés in the sun, your guests will then flow seamlessly into the reception set under the grand chandelier in the main dining room.

As a venue that is set up specifically for events and weddings, you and your suppliers will have access to the property from 10.30am for set up and styling purposes. There is no lunchtime service to contend with and we are here for you on your special day. The conservatory also offers the perfect space for a wet weather option for your ceremony and also becomes the place where you share your first dance together.

The Villa.

A stone’s throw away is The Old Church Villa which can be hired in conjunction with any function you may wish to hold.

The beautifully restored historic villa is full of character and opulent furnishings and is an unexpected blend of history and indulgence. It is a perfect place to relax before or wind down after your function at The Old Church.

Set amongst the private and peaceful surroundings of The Old Church gardens, the villa is the perfect on-site accommodation option to integrate with your event. The villa sleeps eight people with four double bedrooms, each with a private ensuite bathroom, making it ideal for Weddings, speakers, organisers and other special guests.

Standard Accommodation Rate : $1,100.00 incl. GST per night.

The Old Church lends itself perfectly to corporate events. We’ve had years of experience running conferences, gala dinners, corporate functions and more.
